Your Introduction to
First Baptist Church at Savoy
This class is the first step of our membership process, but it is also open to those who are just interested in learning about First Baptist Church at Savoy. Discover First Baptist is a four-hour class providing a basic overview of who we are, what we believe, our vision for where we're going, and how you belong. The pastors will answer your questions, and get to know you a bit better at the same time. We'd love you to join us. Come learn about First Baptist Church—a family where everyone can worship, grow, and serve.

Sunday, June 9
The class will begin at 9:30 am during the Sunday School hour and then continue, with lunch, after the 10:45 am service.
Anyone is welcome to attend with no obligation.
MUSICIANS!
Would you like to be part of the Sunday services at FBC? We need volunteers to help fill some key openings on our Sunday Morning Worship Team.
The Worship Band is in need of some musicians. We are looking for trombone players and drummers. Please contact Pastor Chris at (217) 352-2240 or if you are interested in playing.
MEDIA SHOUT!
There is also a need for a few people to help operate our Media Shout system during the worship service. You do not have to be a tech expert to volunteer. Training will be provided to help you learn the system. Call the church office at (217) 352-2240 if you are interested in this opportunity
Get Involved with the FBC Food Pantry
Our Food Pantry needs your help delivering food to hungry families in our area and it's simple to get involved:
- Just pick up the food from the church,
- Stop by a participating grocery store to grab some fresh items,
- Deliver the package to a local family.
There's no cost to you, and you can schedule pick-ups and drop-offs around your schedule.

Meals on Wheels in
Champaign County
Meals on Wheels needs help delivering meals the weeks of:
- June 10–14,
- July 1–5 (ommitting the 4th),
- and July 22–26.
This takes approximately 2 hours each day. Drivers pick up the food and deliver it to people who for one reason or another cannot prepare meals for themselves. This service allows many people to remain in their own homes and stay out of the nursing homes for a period of time.

Meet at empty tomb, 301 N. Fourth Street, Champaign at 9:00 am on the third Saturday of each month if you are available to help out! We usually work until noon. You can sort clothes, deliver furniture, or work on home maintenance projects. Many ways to serve! Contact FBC office by email or at (217) 352-2240 with questions. The Early Childhood Team
We'd love to have you as part of our Early Childhood Team serving the needs of very young children and their families at FBC!
- You will love watching young children take first steps or hear Bible stories for the very first time;
- You'll be captured by the wonder and surprise they exhibit as they learn new things;
- Parents, if you have a child in this ministry, we'd love to have you serve at least once a quarter—it's a great place to get connected with others.
There is a place for you on our Early Childhood Ministry Team: Nursery, Toddlers, Preschool, and Children's Church. If you are interested, just talk to one of our volunteers serving in these rooms or contact Kirk Hawthorne at (217) 352-2240 or at .
FBC Men's Group
Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm
Many men came to the FBC Men's Group not knowing what to expect, but they discover that they needed what the men's group had to offer! Things such as the wealth of experiences that God blessed us with and the knowledge that many have shared the same experiences. This group meets every Thursday evening at 7:00 pm in the north hall Room N109.
Recycle Your Old Electronics
24/7 Youth Ministries Fundraiser
We are collecting old electronics that you aren't using anymore in order to raise funds for future youth mission trips and events. Even with the economy the way it is, we want to still advance the youth ministry at FBC by helping youth go on these life changing trips!
If you have any of the following items that are now unuseable, would you please donate them so we could collect some money by recycling them?
