RECAP FROM PASTOR CHRIS

The Honduras 09 Mission Trip was an excellent one. There were five first-timers on this trip and seven who had been there before. We were able to minister to the children at the home by hanging out with them and loving them alot.
At the feeding program each weekday, we did a Vacation Bible School which was a lot of fun. Most of those children don’t know the Lord and we led them through the gospel. We hope and pray for their souls and lives! We also visited three schools — two of them were elementary schools and one was middle school. We did dramas and music as well as presenting the gospel. We ended up handing out 750 gospel tracks to the children.
There were also two somewhat primitive churches that we visited. At the churches we did our dramas, sang worship songs, gave testimonies, and preached the word of the Lord.
Our work project was making heavy cement posts for their fence. It was very heavy and tiring work, but we were able to make around 30 posts.
The Lord not only worked in the lives of people in Honduras, but especially in our lives as we served the Lord! We want to thank everyone who helped us to go on this trip!

FUNDRAISING AND PREPARATION
The Potluck and Basket Auction was held on Sunday, May 3. I was amazed by the way the Lord had supplied the needs of the missions team and for the missions trip to Honduras this June. I am very thankful for all of the hard work that went into the Basket Auction. The Regeneration class (headed by Sherry Denzer & Sylvia Warnock) really got behind this cause and helped much of it happen!
Thank you so much to everyone who helped make the baskets or bid on the baskets. We took in over $6,900 this year at the auction! The Lord has a way of making things happen even when we worry about the economy! The pressure of fundraising was definitely relieved through the auction. The joy of fellowship was also a great blessing as we sat around and ate our choice of delicious potluck food! Thanks again to everyone who helped out! In Christ, Pastor Chris
Spaghetti Lunch Fundraiser a Success! Thank you to everyone who attended the lunch on April 5. We raised over $1,600 for the Youth Mission Trip! Everyone enjoy the lunch and the fine fellowship. Thank you for helping us in this effort!
