Winter Xtreme this year with the middle school youth was a great trip and a great time! We had 20 youth go this year. There was snow and a lot of ice. Our broom ball team made it to the championship round and lost 1-0 to the eventual champions. It was a lot of fun!

Our speaker Jonathan McKee from The Source 4 Youth was powerful as he talked about how God wants to change the way we think, how God’s love can transform us to live out love to others, and that we need to get alone with God and get real. We had times of worship and great small discussions. Life change always seems to take place in these settings. Thanks to our youth leaders: Pam Chambers, Darren Tee, Rebekah Baker, and Hans Noyes for taking a weekend to spend time with our youth — we couldn’t do it without great help!

This year at Winter Xtreme we had a weekend of spiritual awakening and growth. One of our girls trusted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and she understood the Lord’s great love for her. We celebrated Big Time as she told us in the Saturday night small group session! Others who felt distant from the Lord came back to the Lord and some who have slowly lost passion and love for Christ over the year rekindled their love and commitment to Him!

Bill Allison was our speaker again this year and we loved hearing from the Lord through him! The theme was “Rooted.” Many of us accepted Bill’s 21 day challenge to read through the gospel of John. Others from both our middle school and high school youth who didn’t go on that trip are also reading through the gospel of John. Some even got others at their school to read through it together. How awesome! Thanks to everyone who have given scholarships for some to go on the trip!
