Adult Sunday School
We have classes geared for adults of all ages. (And, of course, for every age child from 3 years through high school). Also our nursery is available during both worship services and during the 9:30 am Sunday School hour.
Sunday School is at 9:30 am. Our current Adult Sunday School Classes are:
Ask Seek Knock: Are you a Christian Atheist? That is how author Craig Groeschel describes someone who believes in God, but lives like God doesn't exist. Do you say you trust God, but worry all the time? Or trust your money more than you trust God? Join the Ask, Seek, Knock class as we watch this DVD series and grow together.
(Pam & Rich Geiger, Teachers)
Fellowship: This class is geared towards younger couples. We focus on fellowship in, as well as outside, the church. We are studying Parenting Beyond Your Capacity. Parenting can be tough. Gather with other parents for encouragement and discussion on the principles of biblical parenting. This study will help equip you to be the parent you dream of being and help your family engage in the bigger story—a story that involves more than just your family.
(Craig Donoho & Kyle Mann, Facilitators)
Harmony: This class continues its study in the International Lesson Sunday School series. The months of September through November will have lessons focusing on the nature of God as the first person of the Trinity. We will be doing studies in Exodus and the Psalms. Come and join us!
(Rose Marie Dunn, Teacher)
Kintuadi: Romans: The Letter that Changed the World. We are studying a land of the Bible much bigger than you've imagined—to the vast sweep of the ancient Roman Empire and the cradle of the newborn church. Discover just how radical Paul's letter to the Romans really was, why it has inspired both hope and conflict through the centuries, and why it continues to challenge our culture and change hearts and lives. This study will help you more fully grasp the powerful, foundational truths of Christianity and their meaning for you life. Kintuadi is composed of mostly senior adults, but everyone is welcome to join them in their studies.
(Leroy Powell plus various class members, Teachers)
Regeneration:This class is currently studying the book of Proverbs—a book for everyday instruction. Those who attend this class, for the most part, have grown children and they share the position of being the "sandwich" generation.
(Joy Fuller, Teacher)
Study of Revelation: This class zeroes in on a verse-by-verse study of God’s Word and the application of it to our lives. We are currently studying the book of Revelation. This study is open to all adults.
(John Elder, Teacher)
Trinity: This class is a class of all ages—singles, couples and “halves” (i.e. only one in the couple can come)! We are studying the Bridges DVD Study. This is a six-session DVD Small Group Study that provides biblical teaching about Islam and what Muslims believe, opening the door for better understanding between the religions. Since 9/11, the image of Muslims evokes fear and mistrust in Americans. Yet, Jesus teaches compassion and challenges his followers to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.
