Adult Sunday School

Adult Sunday School

We have classes geared for adults of all ages. (And, of course, for every age child from 3 years through high school). Also our nursery is available during both worship services and during the 9:30 am Sunday School hour.

Sunday School is at 9:30 am. Our current Adult Sunday School Classes are:

Ask Seek Knock: This class is doing a study based around the book Wishing for the Day: Finding Hope in Hopeless Situations. This study is based around Biblical teachings and personal experiences to offer encouragement. You learn that the storms you face are not the means to an end; but simply a journey to victory. With Christ there is always hope. Come and join us in this exciting study.
(Pam & Rich Geiger, Teachers)

Fellowship: This class is geared toward the younger couples of our church.  We focus on fellowship in, as well as outside, the church.  We are studying the "Gospel Parallels—A Comparison of the Synoptic Gospels" which is a study of the life of Jesus in a way so that you can make your own assessment of how the three Gospels agree with, complement, and/or differ from each other.  Come and join us!
(Craig and Jane Donoho, Teachers)

Harmony: This class continues its study in the International Lesson Sunday School series. The months of September through November will have lessons focusing on living in community:  leaders in the covenant community, invitation to covenant living and the new covenant community.  Come and join us!
(Rose Marie Dunn, Teacher)

Kintuadi: This class is currently doing a variety of studies (e.g. Bible book studies, topical and Bible character studies).  It is composed of mostly senior adults, but everyone is welcome to join them in their studies.
(Leroy Powell plus various class members, Teachers)

Parenting Your Teen: This class is using a video series “The Truth Project” plus they are studying chapters out of two great books:  “The Power of a Praying Parent” and “Parents and Teenagers.”  Come and join us!
(Julie Noteboom and Jodi Ehlman, Teachers)

Regeneration: This class is viewing and discussing Leadership Summit DVD’s dealing with a variety of topics in living a practical Christian life.  Those who attend this class, for the most part, have grown children and they share the position of being the "sandwich" generation.
(Joy Fuller, Teacher)

Trinity: What does it mean to communicate with God?  How do we enter His presence in the midst of our daily lives?  Join us in a study of many different ways to come before God in prayer and worship, including wrestling with God, pleading with God, lamenting to God and Longing for God as we study the Psalms.  Our class is a multi-generational adult class that serves each other and the community through prayer and action while delving into the Word of God.
(Mike Koon, Teacher)

Ya'll Come Class: This class zeroes in on a verse-by-verse study of God’s Word and the application of it to our lives. We are currently studying the book of Isaiah. The keynote theme of Isaiah is salvation. Our class is open to all ages.
(John Elder, Teacher)
