Adult Bible Studies
The study of God’s Word is central in our coming to know Him in a personal relationship as our Savior. It is also necessary for our spiritual growth. Listed below are the current Bible Studies happening now at FBC.
Beth Moore Bible Study:
Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed: A Study of David
October 7 – November 18, 2010
Thursday evenings
5:30–7:30 pm at the church
Class time includes 1-hour DVD teaching, 1-hour discussion
Facilitator: Carrie Burns
Workbooks are $15 and can be picked up the first day of class. All participants must call the FBC office (217-352-2210) by Sept 29 to reserve a workbook.
Beth Moore's study, Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed: A Study of David, is based on the teaching sessions of a conference featuring Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer, and Kay Arthur.
These three women explore their lives and the life of David in this six-session Bible study. The messages presented by these beloved authors are divided into three segments, two lessons from each author. Each segment focuses on the life of David at a different stage of his life: as a young man (sessions one and two by Priscilla Shirer, daughter of Dr. Tony Evans), as a middle-aged man (sessions three and four by Beth Moore), and as a man facing the final third of his life (sessions five and six by Kay Arthur). We’ll laugh with them, cry with them, and learn to love God with them.
