James, Jesus' own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple with Beth Moore's 8-session study James: Mercy Triumphs. In the process, learn how you can put your own faith into action.

Bible scholars compare James to the prophet Amos. In other ways James more closely resembles the Book of Proverbs than any New Testament book. Come along with Beth Moore on this journey to get to know both the man and the Book of James. You will never be the same again.

10 Greatest Struggles of Your LifeThe 10 Greatest Struggles in Your Life

Meets in the church library
During the 9:30 am Sunday School Hour
Study Book: $9.00

Pastor Dick leads this study on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am to learn about The 10 Greatest Struggles of Your Life, a book by Colin S. Smith. We’ll study together how God speaks to our struggles in life through the Ten Commandments.

Our study will cover how these ancient commands are not only relevant to modern life, but also help us gain a better understanding of how to overcome—and prevent—many of the battles we face. You will learn that when you love God fully and unconditionally, His commandments no longer seem the impossible rules of a benevolent dictator, but the firm guidance of a loving father, setting you on the path to the rich life He desires for you, His child.

You can contact Pastor Dick by email or by calling (217) 352-2240 if you are interested in this study.

Pastor Dick Leads Bible Study on Monday EveningsRomans—Jesus Christ, Our Righteousness

Pastor Dick is leading a Bible study on Monday evenings from 6:30–7:30 pm in the church library on the Book of Romans.

The Book of Romans sets forth the foundations of the Christian faith.  It was this book that changed the lives of Martin Luther and John Wesley.  Just as the lives of these great Christian leaders were changed by reading and studying Romans, so can we experience life-change in our hearts, homes, and churches if the message of this letter grips our hearts as it gripped the men of faith in centuries past.

If you have questions, contact Pastor Dick or call the church office (217) 352-2240.
